Perhaps repairing or replacing your roof is on your to-do list for 2013, but you don’t know where to start. Well, there are several factors to consider to determine whether the damage can be repaired or it’s time for a complete replacement.
20 years old +
If your roof is more than 20 years old and is leaking, it’s probably time to consider a new roof.
15-20 years old
Sometimes there is a gray area, between years 15 and 20, when your roof starts to show signs of problems, but has not yet completed its expected lifespan.
Younger than 15 years
If your roof is younger than 15 years and has some roof leaks or missing shingles, these generally can be repaired and can extend the life of the roof by several years.
